Taylor Factory Tour

In the neighborhood, wife and kids will probably
Be on the beach all day tomorrow. Considering doing the tour. Anybody done it? Opinions?

I've heard good things about it. I never pass up an opportunity for a good factory tour.

I did the tour a few years ago (10-12 maybe?). It was quite interesting to see all high-tech equipment that most other big guitar builders were not using at that time. The only free samples at the end were pieces of spruce with the Taylor logo, however.

would that be the soundhole coaster? I think those things are pretty cool.

A friend of mine went last year while in the area.
Loved it, very interesting and he said the Taylor folks were great.

I can recommend, did it back in 1995, but not much has changed except they got a lot bigger.

Be prepared for the fact that the factory is almost 20 miles inland - it's a bit of a drive on the 52 to get out there. And it's nasty hot out there right now.
