tele project guitar #2

Last year, I did a tele project guitar from a raw body, mim neck, and new hw, pups, and custom wiring job. Here is a link to my tele project guitar #1:

It turned out so well that I'm doing another tele project this year. I am going for a similar look for tele project #2, but with different pickups and a modern bridge.

List of parts for this project guitar:

- an unfinished fender usa deluxe tele body that was a factory second (from ebay)
- fender usa modern bridge with solid steel saddles
- fender custom shop "51 Nocaster" pickups
- fender 3-ply black / white / black pickguard
- fender corona, ca neckplate
- mighty mite 22 fret soft v neck
- fender deluxe locking tuners
- custom wiring job (will be done by myself)

The body came with all of the routing done, with the exception of the roundover for the edges of the body, top and bottom. I got a 3/16 inch carbide roundover router bit and carefully routed the edges. I followed that up with sanding, first with random orbital sander (220 grit), then lots of finish sanding done by hand (220 to 320 grit):

Next, I stained the body using the same golden oak stain that I have used on several guitar bodies, including last years tele and strat project guitars:
