Hi all,
Just finished my first build project and I am already thinking about my second. I really would like to do a barncaster (or two). Is there a good place to get pine bodies that have nice big knots in them? I am really looking to emulate this guitar that I am sure many of you have seen bouncing around on the forum: http://msengers.home.xs4all.nl/gallery/pine04_big.jpg
I have already been on http://www.pineguitarbodies.com/ but I am looking for something a bit more gnarly. You guys got any ideas?

Are there any hardwood stores near you? I would suggest going to a hardwood store, I've bought pine at one of my local hardwood stores. The beauty is it's really really cheap wood to buy. I bought a 8' 8/4, quarter sawn board for $19. I think I was able to get four bodies out of it.

I like the idea of going to a hardware store, but I don't think I could create the body myself. Are there companies that would do it for you if you supply the wood?

Contact Ohlar on ebay, he is a forum member as well and has blanks and bodies. He's also a good guy to deal with.
