Picked this up for a couple of doll-hairs after work today. What do you guys call this green? Its made in china from the standard series. Don't know much else about it. I like the comfortable neck.

I've been wanting to play around with a two pickup strat for a little bit now and fully expected the pups in this guitar to be a hot mess, but they are actually not bad. Very crunchy treble, but the bass is pretty wooly. I just played the thing for about an hour and a half -- fun.

I want to replace the pups with something a little twangier, with more classic strat like bass tones. I might do the thing that popped up here the other day about taking out the screws from one side of a hot PAF style hb to have sort of noiseless single coil+dummy coil.

Electronics are pretty useless; the switch craps out, the tone pots are all wrong. But its pretty cool and has some character i.e. dings and paint chips. All in all a cool little guitar. Wonder what it will be like in a few months.

Thanks for that info! The CY serial number indicates 1999, I think. I think it is actually British Racing Green? Not very metallic but a pretty cool color
