Serial number question

Am interested in buying a 63 re issue custom shop Strat from my local guitar shop (great guitar btw).
My problem is the serial number starts with "CN" which some people believe means it was made in Korea and others say it stands for "Custom shop nineties". Does anyone know for sure which is right? Also is there any other way to tell a CS guitar. It has a CS decal on the back of the neck. Thanks in advance.

CN=Korean-made Fender/Squier guitars.

Someone's trying to pull a fast one putting a CS label on a Korean guitar.

Korean Fender that wear a "CN" serial # had it on the front of headstock.
C = Cort factory, N = Nineties.

Custom Shop Serial # are on the back of headstock (?) or on the neck plate.

My korean fender has a VN serial number and a plywood body, pretty sure CS does not use plywood.

Thanks for the replies.....this strat definately didn't have a SN on the front of the headstock only on the back of the neck plate. I guess it could be a genuine CS guitar, since apparently (according to a few threads I've read on the Fender forums) Fender used the CN prefix for CS models in the 90's. So confusing. Thanks again for ur help guys.
