This 2x10 is a fully custom, handmade cabinet. I have been building amps, guitars, and cabinets for a few years now (see an example of one I named “Bridget” at http://www.tdpri.com/forum/amp-central-station/216249-low-power-tweed-twin-5e8a-build-hot-off-press.html). This 2x10 cabinet (I call it the Tu-Bit "Perfect 10"...by Studio 63 Music Works) is a brand new design and sounds great! This particular one was designed specifically to go with a Black & White Dr Z Carmen Ghia. The cabinet is box jointed Baltic Birch Ply with walnut dowel reinforcement (I don’t believe screws should be used in the basic shell of a smaller cabinet. In my opinion, quality woodworking and proper wood selection make for a stronger, prettier, and better sounding cabinet.). The interior of the cab is hand finished with a natural oil based stain/sealer/top coat, and a rubber mat on the bottom. The baffle is also Baltic Birch with Hammered Textured paint. The exterior of the amp is done in Duratex; basically a lightweight, but very tough material that is to the amp world what spray-in bed liners are to the pickup truck world…but without the bulk and weight. The speakers are Celestion Gold & Greenback.

I'm just looking for thoughts and opinions...

Thanks for looking!

I wish! Sadly, no tweed available. :-( How cool would that be?!?!

I looooove Duratex. I will be using it a LOT more in the future. It makes things look almost organic and is a joy to work with; and TOUGH. Plus, it opens up the design possibilities without worrying about "Where am I going to put that seam?". It lets you hink about what is good for the sound more than the cover-ability. Neat stuff!

Thanks for looking and also for the extremely kind words. One of my most honest friends (who also happens to be the senior executive producer at a big time recording studio for the motion picture industry) heard this cab with his Divided by 13 amp and a Tele and stated that it was "recording perfection" (the ideal recording cab). He'll tell me if something I build sucks...so i was thrilled with his take. Besides, my cat, "Tink" approved (she always has to sit on my latest creation. I quit fighting it long ago.)

This one sold before i finished it, but I'm hoping to work this cabinet into an amp and cabinet line in the near future. Next up, a 2x12. But what speakers and what head...I'm at a loss. I'm thinking custom, mismatched Webers maybe. Maybe you guys can offer some suggestions. What would make it the ultimate Tele cab? (I know, Pandora's box is opening). Also, what colors would you like to see the cab in? Custom designed circuit (gonna need help there) or tweaked familiar circuit? If familiar, which one(s)?
