Second guitar finished up, sorry not a Tele. Here's a few pics. Had to lower the nut a couple times otherwise it plays nice. I need to get a black Hot Rails to match. Only took 3 months, half as long as the first one.

Zebrano is the king of woods - beautiful.

Nice! Beautiful grain in the wood. The black hardware sets the grain off really nice. VWD!

I almost forgot to mention, the opposite side fret dots are a great idea. Subtle, but different. Nice.

Very nice. I have always considered working with zebrawood, but stayed away.

On the back of the headstock, maybe an inch from the very end, the grain shifts. Is this because of the scarf joint? I noticed the grain is continuous on the front of the neck. Do you have a detail shot of the scarf joint? (I'm just curious about how this type of wood looks when it joins that way).

Thanks for the comments.

I guess it might be a scarf joint. My piece of wood was about 1/4" too thin so I just glued a little piece of wood on the end. Here's how hacks like me do it with limited tools and knowledge. All pretty rough until it hits the Ross.

Ohhh. I get it now. I was looking for a more traditional place for a scarf joint to make the angled headstock. The fact that this was one piece of wood (for the most part) never dawned on me.

In the lower picture, I really can't even find the patch until I look hard for it. Really nice placement/solution.
