New to Telecasters

Hello everyone!
Just bought a new Squire Standard Tele and discovered this Forum.
A pleasure to be in friendly guitar territory.

Have played for many years and this is my 1st "inexpensive" guitar as
I have a Surf Green Strat Plus and a few other nice toys.

So far I've had my tele for a week and definitely need to shield the inside of the guitar. I drag my fingers on the pickguard when I play and it's causing a very loud Static noise. Otherwise, I love the sound and feel of my new axe.
Thanks to the Forum I know how to fix the problem and will do so soon.

Welcome! You can fix the problem by rubbing your pickguard with a dryer sheet, or layering one under your pickguard.
