I oil all my rosewood and ebony fretboards. On new construction necks, I wipe em down with teak oil to give them a nice sheen. Then they typically need a light oiling ( with mineral oil) every year or so. dlc1953 June 19th, 2012, 11:47 PM I oil all my rosewood and ebony fretboards. The 1 I choose is kinda lite in pigment.Choose it cause U can see much more grain. But may want to darken it just a little. Colt W. Knight June 20th, 2012, 12:14 AM Hey thanks. Typically, my RW fretboards are a reddish brown color as raw wood, but after I finish sand them and apply teak oil, they are a dark brown color. |
