I bought one a while back when they included a free porter cable laminate trimmer I think it was $149 then.... not the cheapest price on a 690 then but the trimmer was less than $80 or so then.

One thing you should know is that the current design doesn't allow you to insert as much of the shank on a long bit as compared to the older ones.

That's true of many things in life....that's why I like the older ones.

I got really interested in buying this when I first saw it. I did a comparison on the dovetail jig, it's a 4210, to the 4212 model. Basic opinion is you're better off with the 4212. There is a template that does not come with the 4210 that does thru dovetails that you will need to buy if you want to do those. Probably still a good deal, but not as good as I originally thought. Check for yourself.

Those jigs are pretty basic. I looked at one a few months back when Rockler was blowing them out and decided not to get it.
Plenty OK for free though.

Decided I didn't need the jig - bought the same router from Amazon for $119.00
