Daisey chain electrical question

My daisey chain cable is fed from my TU-2. It feeds 3 pedals and I have this left over (a male and a female). I wouldn't do that. I put a piece of duct tape over my loose ends to keep them from making contact with anything conductive.

Seems like that would work fine. That's probably what I would do too if I didn't have the little rubber end caps that they sometimes come with.
