Working on getting a band together again.

So, I made a big decision to start writing songs again, but I also realize, especially starting with new material, you still have to play some covers unless you have 50 originals. I do not. I think I've gotten off to a nice start, and have had some good responses to my "musicians wanted" ad. I'll have four or five people and/or bands to contact next week. It's getting interesting, and fun again. I sure have missed it.

Why would you want to play 50 of your own songs? Do the stones? Clapton? Anyone? If I found out I had to sit through 4 hours of ANYBODY doing songs they wrote I'd leave. Unless you're Rodney Crowell, Guy Clark, John Hiatt, etc.
