I've made a few posts on here regarding coil splitting. I've got a Fender Blacktop Tele and I'm lookin to coil split it but I don't wanna run the risk of killing my stock pickups wiring it myself. So in looking around for cheap pickups an I came across Dragonfire Guitars. They seem legit and $30-$40 for a set is awesome, but how do the sound. I've listened to them on YouTube and they sound good but how do the sound to you? I play through a Peavy Classic 50 2x12. I use a nova drive for my overdrive/distortion in a worship band, but we like to bring the crunch And like I said I wanna split them. Anyone play them split?
Also how's the service of the site itself? Have you had good experiences working with them?

No experience with dragonfire except getting a pickguard that fit my tele like a glove. I saw 1 vid featuring a screamer bridge pup and thought it sounded pretty good.
check this thread for some interesting info about adjusting pickups to be split.

Maybe you can apply this procedure to those screamers or a gfs vintage extra hot or crunchy or other high output humbucker.

I've used their pickups. They were really pretty good. Just their standard pups. They are better than other cheap pickups I've used. Not my Seymour Duncan pups, but I liked them.
If I remember correctly their service is pretty quick.

I put a set in my daughters Epi LP Spec II. They sound pretty good, A little hotter and slightly brighter than the Epi 650/700s. I play them through my Vox Lil' Night Train in the thick mode and they sound awesome there. Real rock "Monster"! Great British Classic Rock Crunch. She wanted them because of the colors, green and black.

I've used 3 sets and was happy with all of them, including hot wound HB's in a Flying V, 3 mini rail HB's in my Strat build synth and hot blades in another Flying V build. His locking tuners are really nice too. Excellent service from them as well. Also bought a Mighty Mite neck at a reduced price and it is really nice...dunno why it was so cheap at the time...thinning stock maybe?
