Neck Lacquer Decal Problem

Hey everybody. I was burying the decal in lacquer, but I sprayed it on too heavy, and it ran under the masking tape and made a mess. Please take a look.

Does anyone have any advice for fixing it?

Did you apply any tint, or is it straight clear over maple?

It's straight clear rattle can nitro.

Since it's just straight clear, I would just dry sand it with 600 until it's gone, but you'll probably have to shoot the fretboard with a couple more coats of lacquer afterwards.

Yeah, since its just clear, you can san it down, and respray.
