NGD... acoustic CL find

I picked this one up a few days ago off of CL and I'm very happy with it. This was gigged and played real hard so lots of nicks and scuffs on the top and the sound hole has pick wear but boy she can sing.

Seagull S6 + CW Cedar, (cedar top, cherry sides and back, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard). Neck is thick and chunky (I prefer a little thinner neck) but her voice is awesome. The electronics works great when plugged in and acoustically , her voice is loud for a cedar top, full and rich. I now know why there are so many Seagull fans.

I think I got a pretty good deal on her ($200 including molded hard case).

You did good. I've owned two of those over the years. Awesome guitars for very little money.

S6's are great guitars. The S6 is one of the most teacher approved and recommended acoustics that I know. Solid top, wide nut 1-3/4", made in North America. You got an S6 with electronics and a hard case for 2 bills!

Sweet deal man. Congratulations.

That looks like a Gator or SKB case. That's nice.

good one...they do have a really nice voice and that one looks well broken in...hows the fret wear? I'm looking for a 12 at present and Seagull is near the top of the list...now the trick is to find one for 200 like you did

Thx Roadman, I was concerned about how much life would be left since it was used professionally but the frets are in excellent shape and yes, very well seasoned. The only problem I'm having is getting used to the wide nut but that's OK too...

That's a great deal. A really good guitar made by a quality company. A co-worker of mine just got a 12-string Seagull that's truly lovely.

The fact that it's been gigged hard means its tone is probably really good now. A Norman (same parent company now, different guitars & label) I have is just about 40 years old now and it just sings. Nice find, and have lots of fun with it. They're quality guitars.
