korina necks - absorbing moisture (question)

i heard a web rumor that korina necks absorb moisture more readily than some other woods, such as maple and mahogany.

1. first, is this true?

2. second, if this is true, i suppose the neck will bow. if it's not played for a few months (terrible thought, i know), and i come back to find the neck bowed, is it matter of simply re-adjusting it, or is it damaged beyond repair (because of a twist, etc.)?

3. would this moisture gain/loss lead to other problems, such as fretwork becoming unsettled, wood pulling away from frets, etc.?

thanks a bunch.
