I've sprayed up a guitar with clear, tinted then clear nitro finish a couple of weeks ago. it's the first time I've done this and I managed to achieve a nice flat finish without any runs.I'm waiting for it to cure before polishing, it has a semi matt look at the moment and has not been sanded down.Today to my horror, a noticed it had developed hairline stress cracks around the ferrule holes at the back running along the entire length of the body (although hardly noticible and only at one angle). It looks a bit like an old fender strat which I own, which is covered thin cracks. I'm wondering if I sprayed a light coat of thinners, that the cracks will fuse and disappear but then again would this be a waste of time because they will just reappear as it cures?
It is a bit of a dissappointment as I was hoping for a better result.
