Nice. Looks like you've got pretty much every shade of OD and distortion covered between those 2. If you get the chance, definitely let us know how well the Ecstasy (Euphoria?) does the Dumble thing.

Update...called AM and updated the order for the Pinnacle Deluxe instead. They pulled the order off the Fedex truck, changed the order for me AND threw in Fedex next day at no extra charge. Holy cow...those guys have phenomenal service, and exactly why I keep using them. Just a heads up for you guys.

Now for the prices...I got both pedals for 169 out the door each. Can't go wrong with that...makes getting both of these pedals a no brainer.

Glad to hear it man. I'm a die hard Wampler fanboy. Only ones I haven't tried are the HotWired, Nirvana Chorus, or the Leviathan. Every single one is stellar in every way. Great group of folks too. If it fits on your board, the pinnacle deluxe is the way to go. Congrats on the NPD (x2)

Have those 2 on my board for over a year now. All my other dirt pedals have been on the shelf since then. Good choice IMO.

No need to wait...it does the "dumble thing" I've had mine for about six months.

Good to know. Also...I'm getting the Ecstasy version. I didn't want one with the name Euphoria on it. Reminds me to much of Malaria.

My favorite part of this thread is in the title: "some Wamplers". Because really: why get just one? ;) I have yet to get on the train to Wamplerville but I've known of Brian's quality from back in the day when he was just modding pedals, never mind building them from scratch.

Yeah...just sitting around my shop twiddling my thumbs waiting for Mr Fedex to arrive. I may have to start driving around and hunt the driver down just so I can function the rest of the day semi normal. But then I have to be patient and wait til I get home to try out the pedals. I haven't been this excited since I had to wait for the Dover pickups from D Allen.

Pinnacle is one of my new acquisitions and I LOVE it! Mine is the Deluxe with the boost. Found it used in a pedal shop although it has the new graphic so it must be recent. I also have a Paisley and Hot Wired I love. You cannot go wrong with Brian's pedals. The king of dirtboxes IMO.

Yep. I just got in the order. I got me some Wamplers, but.......they sent me a Euphoria instead, which is not what I wanted. I'm hoping there are some Ecstasy pedals left. Yeah...I know it's just a name change...supposedly. I have read that some people think the tone circuit was changed a bit as well. Who's to know for 100%.

The Pinnacle I got was the Deluxe. I upgraded to that one. It was no brainer...they price matched it to the same price as the smaller pedal without the extra stomp button.

Edit....Just confirmed the existence of Ecstasy pedals. They are floating around still. AM has one, and it's in the mail while the newer Euphoria is on the way back to them.

Took these earlier at my shop...couldn't wait. Wow. Now that I'm home, I've had chance to play through my LP and fav strat, and it's a fantastic pedal. I'm no Eddie Van Halen, but the gain from this pedal begins right at just breaking up to whatever you need. It does it without ever sounding brittle or harsh, unlike a lot of pedals I've tried.

I messed around with the trim pot inside, and didn't like anything I heard. I put it back and all was good again. I can't really explain it, but the contour control is where it's at. Just a tiny adjustment counter clockwise to about 11 made for a very Van Halen sound to my ears. The mids were a little more pronounced and the highs were right there...it's a fantastic sound to behold. I really like this pedal with my Les Paul and Ibanez and its BKP Holy Diver pickups.

I really can't wait to get the Ecstasy pedal. It seems like that bad boy has what I've really been looking for...little bit EJ'ish, smooth creamy like the half glass of ice cold raw, unpasteurized heavy cream I drank tonight to fill out my daily allotment of tons of fat on the ketogenic diet I'm on. 10 pounds of fat lost so far.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I do know for 100% and I need to squash the notion here before it gets out of hand and turns into a rumor. You know how that goes, I would much rather it just be clear than leave room for speculation.

The Euphoria is going forward the only name for the pedal that used to be called the Ecstasy. No new Wampler Pedals products called Ecstasy are being made. We changed the name out of respect and fairness, doing the right thing. But I promise, there is literally no difference at this time between the circuit in the older pedals (totally out of production) with the name Ecstasy compared to the renamed version, the Euphoria. Same controls, same tone, same circuit, it's the same everything but the name.

I'm not trying to single you or anyone out, but it is something where I can't really have any uncertainty at all as to what is what. The Ecstasy is an old name that we don't use anymore. We now make that circuit with the name Euphoria, and electronically it's identical. No change to the tone, just a new name and logo.

Tell you what I'll do though, if you are really really curious and want to see for yourself... Shoot me an email (I just pm'd you), and i'll take a pic for you of the circuitboards, so you can verify for yourself that they are 100% the same :)

Nahh...I should have got it on Friday. I was looking forward to locking myself in the garage/tone lab and fiddling with it for hours.

Hi,
Newbie poster. I have been through a ton of pedals (lost my shirt (and made Ebay a few dollars) in the process) but have "settled" on 5 dirts in a row: Timmy>Wampler Paisley>Wampler Euphoria> Vox ICE 9>Way Huge Green Rhino. Front end is Empress comp > Corona Chorus and back end is Xotic RC> TC Nova Ib> Strymon Bluesky. The low gain overdrives have changed many times and I have found the Wamplers to be really great for stacking in ever-increasing gain amounts. Nice and dynamic (I know it is an over-used term but they really are) (Ice-9 and Green Rhino cover the compressed TS stuff well - both are true low $ sleepers and they stack as well!). Probably my favorites are the Timmy and Euphoria - Pretty much set and forget. Sound great with the Cabronita or the McCarty.
I had an EGO comp and sold it as the grass was greener. Probably will buy again. Plextortion was too over the top for my needs but would probably be perfect for another.

Wampler...good stuff!
Keep Pedaling!!
