Hey folks! I'm debating ordering myself a set of 'the Boss' single coils from Bare Knuckle pick ups, and had a couple of questions about them. Firstly, anyone got any experience of these? :) Secondly, I just read an article on the Lollar site on left handed pick ups - as a left handed played, I have noticed staggered pole-pieces having an effect on the tone with my texas specials, and the article said that they would, so I was wondering if these pole pieces are staggered, or just raised slightly, as they look in the picture to be equal heights? Thanks a bunch, guys. J

They certainly look to be of a uniform height but you could do a lot worse than contacting Tim, the guv'nor of BK by email about your queries. He's extremely helpful and I believe he can do "specials" by request. Either way, you'll get excellent, unbiased advice from him.
This, from a very satisfied BK consumer.

They are just raised. Not staggered.

They are just raised. Not staggered.
And here's the proof:

I have the BK Boss bridge in my Pinecaster (http://s1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb435/peter_ball1961/Pinecaster%20project/) and the Fralin/Analog Man Weider BIG-T in the neck.
A very powerful combination.

Hi Googler. I also have the Boss in a pinecaster. I just posted a 'review' (really a song of praise) in a thread last week. Granted, it's a new guitar, new strings, the Glendale Twang saddles--but even taking those advantages/variables into consideration, this pickup is in a league by itself in my experience. Or maybe it's in a league I haven't played in before (haven't tried Mares, Budz or Rumpelstiltskins yet). But I think you'll love it. It's clear, twangy, sparkly, and with distortion it's fierce. And what I particularly am happy with is that it's ALL Tele all the time. My favorite Tele sounds--and there a lot of them--are all in there. I'd wager that while there are Tele pups that will sound different, there is no Tele pup that you could call 'better.' Still, preferences are in the ear of the beholder, of course. But that's my .02 on the Boss. Best of luck!

......and with distortion it's fierce.
Now ain't that the case! It's scarily fierce, particularly when you dig in.
I love mine too!
