Where have all the Stratotones gone??? [Archive]

Only a year ago, there was always a vintage h44 or two (or h88) on Ebay at any given time. I have owned a few and sold them all at one point or another. I am in the market again and now it is very rare to see one show up on Ebay (or anywhere for that matter) and when they do, they are usually in sorry shape. I guess people are hanging on to the remaining good ones.
The last good one I saw on Ebay just sold for $1,700.00 - :shock:
Priced me out... :cry:
