It sounds like you want to part with your current axe.

I'm no MIM fan, at all. BUT, you've got way more than $300 worth of parts there. I'd say it's a good deal. I would think you couold easily build you dream strat, and re-sell the other one for what you spent on this one. OR, part out everything that's left over for even more money. OR, just have two cool strats.

+1 ^^......locking tuners on what you describe as a great neck sounds like money well spent on it's own ...swap necks ..sell the MIM...badda bing

It's not that I want to part with it completely. It's just that all mods/upgrades I've been considering would be accomplished by combining the two.

I hear ya. I'd love to keep both. It's a question of logistics. Or, wife dodging as it were.

Besides, I'm out of guitar hangers in my "allotted area". Lol.

Yep, if you can afford it buy the second and mix and match. The MIM neck should be a hair narrower than the MIJ pocket, so should fit but prepare to shim it and possibly re-drill the screw holes. The best thing to do is to measure them. I wouldn't suggest dismantling the guitar on loan unless you're very happy doing such things :)

If they fit and you can mix, match and reassemble them as much as you like. It's a Strat. They're like Lego (almost).
