Father's day is coming, I know plenty dads on here who'd love this Tweed Pro kit. Heck of a deal. I wish I could pull the pin but...

It's a tweed pro kit with chassis & related parts, populated board, tubes, and transformers. I was thinking that's a pretty good deal at $259 shipped. Yes, as mentioned, you still need a cab and a speaker. I was just doing some of my own calculating. It cost me $648 to put together a 5F2A recently when it was all said and done.

Not a bad deal wondering about the transformers though they almost look used from the way the wires look. I just bought two new transformers and the wires were a lot longer than the ones pictured.

It says tweed pro but looks like a tweed deluxe. Maybe a Prolux. 5e3 with 6l6s?

Thinking the same thing, BobbyZ. Except those transformers are a lot bigger than the ones in my 5E3.

I wouldn't trust what is already put together.
To be sure of it you'd have to take it apart and start over.
He says he couldn't find the time to finish, but it's probably a case of he got in over his head and couldn't finish.
