Can anyone demonstrate a good two step rhythm. Years ago I played a mean two step and then would slide into what I called a horse galloping rhythm. I seem to have lost the style and I don't want just a down - up, etc. Thanks for your help.

Do you mean like for dancing the two step to? If it is that, to me an old fashioned 2/4 bass note strum, bass note strum is the way to go. A rhythm like Jambalaya. A two step takes three beats of music, so you want a strong clear beat so the steps weave on and off the strong beats of the measure.
