I have been fortunate enough to have both an AC15 and DRRI. The Fender is my main live rig, the Vox has been living at my studio as my go to crank it up amp. Sadly, I have to sell the Vox for money reasons.
Obviously I will miss that Vox crunch on records, but happily since I got it, 3 of my friends fell in love with it an bought their own haha. So if I NEED that sound I can borrow one.
The thing I really can't lose is the trem on the Vox. The Fender is choppy, I believe optical is the style? The Vox is really smooth and warm, and with reverb it creates a great smoky texture. Tube trem?
Most trem pedals I've played sound more like my Fender, does anyone have any experience with one that sounds more like a Vox? I don't like a ton of knobs and switches, if that means anything to your suggestions.....
