Jerry was a great showman. He stood out from the straight laced country acts of the day without being disrespectful or crude.

And he could play!

People usually think of Jerry as the good ole' boy who sang about CB radios and trucks, but obviously, the man could play guitar like a mofo.

When Chet Atkins has to hit the woodshed to make an album with you, you know you are some kinda player. Chet also said that Jerry should always play rhythm, cause when he plays lead other guitarists want to take their guitars and set them out for trash pickup.

Jerry Reed was so utterly under-rated in the guitar world, I should say -by people who think they know who the hottest guitar players are of all time
