Trying to find something to use live. Hopefully you could lay down at least 2 tracks, but I probably don't need 16. I am concerned that 1 pedal operation will be too confusing. Any suggestions for anyone?

How much is affordable? How long does your loop need to be (i.e. 20 seconds vs. 5 minutes?)

There was another recent thread on loopers here:

+1 dont get an Rc3 for live use, the rc20xl is better for that. And like Mal Paso said, you can find them pretty cheap used at GC.

Rc20 xl on the way, tjanks to these threads. Difficulty getting the pedal, but it should be on the way now.

Is this the pedal you've been having problems with at GC? If so, sorry to hear that.

If not, cool! You'll have to do a followup when you get it.

Oh, and you might want to check out the owner's manual online before you get it, just to familiarize yourself with the layout, controls, functions, etc.

..that way you're ready to go when it gets there!

(it's not too complicated. If I can do it, anybody can!)

Yep. I called the miami store and they shipped it today. I've been watching videos for instructions. I hope I like it.

Do any of these things have a switch you can stomp on and it just basically "zeros" everything out...ie. immediately stops producing any sound and clears all loops in memory so that you're ready to start over? I have the RC-20 (not the 20XL) and the Line 6 JM4, and while I like them both fine for practicing, to reset them you have to go through the hold two pedals down for three seconds, wait for LEDs to flash 4.2 times, release left pedal while holding down right pedal, etc. It is way too hard for me to do in a live situation when the bullets are flying.

I had a Jam Man for a while. Great piece of kit and come in three different sizes/specs

arrived today. you can easily never leave the house again with this thing. apparently, it helps to 1)read the manual, and 2) put effects before the pedal.
