Wow, now I never have to feel bad about being wrong, cause I don't charge!
This is from The Tube Amp Book, in parenthesis re: 6v6 wiring.

Although that was the first tube amp book I ever bought, I have never relied on it for any circuit/tech info outside of the schematics that are there....and I don't open it up for that anymore, either. I am sure that there is some useful things in the technical sections, but I just don't go there.
IF you read in the fEnder section, you will be taught that the CBS era started with the SF cosmetics!?!?!?!; when in reality the contrat with CBS was signed on Jan 4., 1965.....2 years and 4 moths before the SF cosmetics came around. So, it is not just on the circutiry/technical aspect that there are 'question' about what is in that book.

I remember thinking something was odd when I read his 'interview' with Ken Fisher on wire polarity. Sparked quite a debate a few years back on the dumble forum. 8^)

I am very thankful that my first book about tube amps was the Electric Guitar Amplifier Handbook by Jack Darr.It is 100% snake-oil free.
