P.S. I hope this post isn't against the rules, I couldn't find anything sayin it was, but don't intend to cause trouble.

It used to be that you got one (1) shot at a "tasteful" link to selling your wares on eBay, but I don't know if that has changed. Since Paul allows vendors with the bones who can afford it to have such an official status, it has kind of segregated members into at least two groups.

(I say "at least" because an official vendor could have any number of other non-vendor "members" doing work for them).

Bottom line IMO is that the definition of "tasteful" can be interpreted incorrectly, however it might be defined. Some folks consider it all to be shilling, others wouldn't care if there is basically a 24/7 virtual infomercial presence at all times.

So just double check the rules - they are easily accessed for this specific reason. If you're not sure, err on the side of caution if you don't want trouble.

No one here (I would hope) would want to cause a stink, but the more intolerant members might just flag your post. Then it gets left to a moderator to determine if you are in or out of bounds.

As one who has gotten a spanking on numerous occasions (but not for an eBay posting - sorry but just not my thing), I speak from experience. I can be like that kid in school who should have a big metal fluorescent sign with the rules riveted to a pole 3 ft away, and still get "overly enthusiastic or critical about something," and leave a segment of members (that now includes official vendors!) P.O.'ed.

May the ice always be thick under your feet, or at least thicker than your current state of mind...

I was going to say, I remember when you got that spanking. I am now in witness protection, with a changed name....
