Basement Post Punk Ballad?

So I bought a hand-built fuzz pedal last week from a local guitar tech and thought I'd try it out. I found some old, obviously goofy lyrics from my band's drummer and gave them an angst-filled ironic spin. Came off pretty well.

Cleanish guitar is my partsbuilt Esquite. Fuzzy guitar is an Epi Dot. Bass is a 68 Kay SG shortscale.

I dig the raunchy lo-fi fuzz. Plus it has a boost to get serious, crazy fuzz when desired.

You have some nice tunes there. In a strange way they kind of remind me of som older Tom Waits tunes. Not that they sound like Tom Waits, more the attitude of the music and the characters that seem to appear in the vocals. Great stuff!

Thanks! Tom Waits basement indie-rock? Cool.
