Listening to the new "Clockwork Angels" release (just the tune, album's not out yet).
He's got some neat tremolo work on this song, amp or pedal, cannot tell. Any ideas?

That's Probably the new Alex Lifeson Les Paul. It's basically a Lester with locking trem. Kinda cool, actually.

Thinner/lighter, floyd, piezo/accoustic pick up thingy. Big price I'd imagine.
My copy of the album arrived yesterday (fan pack purchase!).
Far better than their last offering in my opinion, got a, I dunno, bit of "let's jam" vibe as opposed to "sit and compose"
Looking forward to them coming back to the uk next year although I hope they drop it down a tone to help Geddy out, did feel that over halfway through the tour his vocals were strained.

I think that the Les Paul Axcess model was originally the Neal Schon Les Paul. That model had a Floyd with a locking nut, but it had some different electronics. Gibson simplified the model by stripping out the more complicated electronics, and called it the Axcess.
Lifeson doesn't get enough love for being the killer player that he is. His sound is too processed, but the playing is damned good.
