Balladeer & Cat’s Eyes.

My wife bought herself a Balladeer, that gave me a good excuse to buy a Cat’s Eyes.

Balladeer 1561, 1984. SBB, piezo under bridge, single volume knob preamp. Except for a few cracks in the plastic rosette it’s as good as new. Amazing how clean it is after 28 years.

Cat’s Eyes CE-350S. D28 model, solid top, 2 piece back, standard non scalloped tapered X bracing, popsicle brace. Fingerboard and headstock binding. There are different theories for dating, it’s either a 1980 or a 1983. Not so clean, a few dull spots (clouds) on the back and sides, repaired crack on the top, broken nut, tarnish on tuners and the usual dents and scratches from 30 years of playing.

Look's mighty nice! The Balladeer has a very glossy finish for how old it is. Make sure your bridge doesn't buckle! You'll be another Ovation horror story. I've never heard of Cat's Eyes Brand before but it looks good as well.

The guy she bought it from was the first owner, it’s a closet case guitar. There’s not a scratch on it, it looks brand new(except for the rosette).
