Hey guys, I built a stupid little L Pad attenuator basically like the one here. http://guitarprojects.weebly.com/diy-attenuator.html
the only difference in the circuit being that I used an 100 watt 8ohm lpad. It works but here's the thing, I really only get any attenuation in the last 1/8th of a turn on the dial. And then it comes on really fast and I can't really get any use out of it. Is this normal? I wouldn't think so. I have used it with a 4 watt amp, a 5e3, 5e3x2 and all the same result. Is this because I'm not running enough juice through it? Or is the problem somewhere else? Or should I just throw it in the garbage and build something else in the enclosure? lol Also, the bright switch is barely noticeable, if at all. hmmmm... Funny, I've built a few amps and made them work pretty easily. But this is making my head ache a bit.
