Marmoth Maple neck nitro finish help..

I'm about ready to order my Marmoth maple neck and I'd like to put my own satin nitro finish on it. I've been pouring through the posts but can't seem to find a simple step by step with a "simple" application (never done nitro, nor do I have any pneumatic spayers, tools, etc..).

Questions:
1) Can I apply a satin nitro finish with a spray-can type of product?
2) If so, which do you recommend?
3) Are there any downsides to this type of application?
4) Also, could you describe the process needed with this (i.e. apply 3-4 coats, 1-hour apart, and then sand or buff when complete, etc..??)? I'm a little unsure of how to do this properly.

Sorry for the newbie questions...but I could use some advice and direction. Or, if you have a link to an appropriate thread, please forward

Thanks so much for your help..!

You can buy satin lacquer in aerosol form.

Not wanting to b a dark cloud but I would let them do it. Mainly I have no patience. Not a good trait for finishing where you have to prep properly, mask frets and spray lightly and sand in between and clean up build up around frets... . Also if it goes bad you eat it, if they do it wrong you send it back. If you dont have the right equipment how do u do the right job. Factor in the dollar difference of cost against your hourly value at say a 8 hr day. You could be rocking instead of worrying. But if you choose to do it have fun.
