ChinaManGeorge June 4th, 2012, 07:15 PM Hi there, new to the forum, been snooping around here for a while and its helped me a lot with most of my fixes and gear choices. But, I can't find any answers on the net so I thought I would ask the helpful folk at TDPRI!
Anyway, my JD GCB95 has quite a severe loss of volume when activated. My current setup is very basic:
Guitar -> Boss DS-1 -> GCB95 -> Amp
I bought new batteries a few weeks ago (I took a 2 week break from playing, so they haven't been used throughout that time), I always take leads out of the input socket. I'm stumped :S.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
bossking7 June 4th, 2012, 09:04 PM Try guitar-crybaby-ds1-amp. I used to have a volume BOOST with mine. If nothing else, try using an EQ, or use the correct power supply.
Welcome to the forum!
mulic3 June 5th, 2012, 03:26 AM The wah should come first because it's a filter. I modded my GCB95 to be true bypass. Extremely easy. Here's how: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgSdm...eature=related
Another solution is a True bypass looper. You can make one yourself. Extremely easy and dirty cheap! All you'll need is 4 1/4 Mono Jacks, 1 DPDT switch, and a box.

Good Luck!

Yes that worked, thanks man. I'm new to guitar effects and stuff, so I don't know much about true-bypass and whatnot. Any chance you could hook me up with a website that will provide me with information on the topic, please?

Thanks man, that website (beavisaudio) looks interesting. I think I'll give that a go, since I've got spare time.
' burn 08 June 5th, 2012, 12:10 PM It's just 'cause it isn't true bypass. I run my distortion before the crybaby. You can do it afterward, whatever floats your boat. It just sounds a little different.

Glad I could help. You really should look into that true bypass thing I posted. It's extremely easy and I'm, by no means, an electronics expert.
