Curtis Mayfield, People Get Ready. Just transpose it to an easy key instead of the flat key Mayfield and Beck does it in.

For rock "sounding," there's just a ton of it. Go to Pandora and listen to any contemporary Christian genre station. You hear something you like that sounds up your alley, google around for the chords & lyrics.
And, there's lots of gospel, any flavor, that borrows from the blues. I like more country flavored stuff, like River of Jordan, Just a Closer Walk, etc, but there's a ton there, as well.

Oldie we just did last weekend is Chris Tomlin's Holy Is the Lord.
I found this tutorial, but before you watch it, a couple of nits/quibbles: First, he shows it in G, but CT's video is in A, if I hear it right. And, what the WL in the vid calls a C is a Cadd9 in my head - my chart actually lists it as a "2" (aka sus2) chord, and that's what I play (we do it in E). Where he shows a straight F chord would also be a 2 for me, though you could probably swap a IVsus - all the same, i.e., instead of playing an F, you could easily play an F2, Fadd9, or Csus4, or equivalent in the key of your choosing.
Is that the kind of thing you are looking for?
