Short video. Couple of surprising songs by the Dead.

Yeah - nothing surprising there - Weir's is my favorite rendition of that song vocally.
The only thing that would have made it better is if Jerry had of played a Tele-lol!

Around and Around / Johhny B. Goode was good. Thanks ne4tt!
I saw that run of shows at Radio City in 1980. It was great to hear them play the "acoustic set".
I have very fond memories of that show. I happened to be in NYC for the very first time and all by myself for a week when I discovered that my "buddies" were over at Radio City for the whole week too! I stolled over from my hotel on 52nd St., copped a ticket and was treated to a GREAT show. Having the Dead in town for my initial "Little Freddy Goes To The Big City" experience made it a little more welcoming to a very nervous young man.
When I returned to Providence I had to fill out an expense report. Because it was a scalped ticket ($50) I listed it as "Entertainment" and said I didn't have a receipt. My boss gave me a knowing wink and quickly OK'd it thinking "entertainment" meant HOOKER! When one of my coworkers leaked that I actually went to see the Dead, the boss flipped! Hookers were A-OK, the Dead...not so much.:lol:
What a long strange trip it's been...
