I recently got this as a backup for my Diamond Compressor (as it goes in for surgery - poor little yeller feller)

Anyway, tried this in rehearsal one night last week - it felt really good.

I just gigged with this outdoors yesterday, and I am duly impressed. Now, this is NOT an optical compressor (as is the case with the Diamond), but this does hold its own in the "wow" department. I have a Boss CS-2 and a Dyna, and the Comp Nova does blow those two out of the water.

I feel as though I do get some dynamic response that I normally should not be able to attain under these circumstances. This makes me very happy:
CHIME AND DYNAMICS!!!!

YAY!!!
