Upcoming SM tool purchase advice (nut & set up)

Hey all
Been wanting to get some more tools to go through all my guitars and better the set up on all of them with the next string replacement.

First I was wondering who has the SM Nut slotting gauge with the dial indicator. Thought about this for a while and after watching the video looks like a time saver with a whole lot less fumbling than using my feeler gauges and if I spread the cost out over my current 4 guitars not such a bad deal.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Second, while I'm at it I'm gonna need some nut files. This could be pretty costly. Considering both my electrics and acoustics and the different string sizes.
My electric strings I run are as follows 10,13,17,26,36 & 46
My acoustic strings are 12,16,26,34,44 & 52
I read you can get an extra .01 out of a file by rocking the file from side to side but with the 2 different gauges above I don't know which files to get as we have quite a spred in some.

Would I be better of with the indivdual Gauged nut slotting files or the Double edged files.
Thoughts/suggestions here appreciated as well.

Wally, I ultimately determined it would be cheapest and best for me to get the gauged files, and finally got the whole set. I use them constantly and have never regretted this decision.

I don't like the double-edged files because the gauges aren't quite right. I try to make sure my slots are 3-5 thousandths wider than the string, which always works well.

That fancy gauge is neat, but never something I'd use. I gauge the depth of the slot by fretting at the 3rd fret and checking clearance over the 1st. Easy, fast, and accurate.
