You're must explain those tuners! And what were you thinking? String ferrules in a straight line! Absolutely gorgeous, and quite original in its execution. Toriginal June 3rd, 2012, 05:31 AM That took a few looks to see it all although I liked it immediately. I really like the see through pot plate too. Overall, I like the whole thing. Tasteful originality. Well done!!! nadurtha June 3rd, 2012, 05:32 AM So so wrong but somehow looks awesome. I really like it. Westerly Sunn June 3rd, 2012, 05:40 AM That's a really unique look. I like the simple natural satin feel of it and it's really cool to accent it with those little splashes of color. I surely like the lacquered pots! I don't think I've ever seen that before. 6stings June 3rd, 2012, 09:02 AM Appreciate all you said guys! As for the tuners, I find Steinberger Gearless a perfect solution for a lefty headstock. I have them on a standard tele neck too. Just did a sound check thru Twin Reverb, I must say that I'm impressed by the simplicity and the effect of Fezz Parka's tone mod. No more treble bleeds. A few more shots, sorry if I repeated some. Cheers! Very cool and purposeful build! 6stings June 3rd, 2012, 11:05 AM It's the dance of the seven veils:razz: Come on, you're just teasing us now - you've got to show us a front shot of the headstock ...and explain what it is. Very cool and purposeful build! Thanks Modern! I'm not teasing, I did post the pics of the headsock's both sides. There's nothing special on it, no logo, I just painted it a little to balance with the rest of the tele. It looked too sterile as a very light maple with the black tuners... 129692 Ed P June 3rd, 2012, 11:13 AM Very rockin! Twisted but terrific. CraigB June 3rd, 2012, 11:39 AM Thanks Modern! It looked too sterile as a very light maple with the black tuners... 129692 Whoa, that headstock painting is fabulous looking. So many things going on visually with this guitar, but they all work together quite nice! 6stings June 3rd, 2012, 11:51 AM Thanks CB! Thanks EP! TaylorPlayer June 3rd, 2012, 12:08 PM I am just sitting here stunned by the unique beauty of this guitar! Well Done and thanks for sharing the photos! SolidbdyJazzfan June 3rd, 2012, 12:21 PM It's a beautiful guitar, 6stings. I really like the Lone Star bobbin top, the headstock surface and the Plexiglas cover plate for the controls. Well done! 6stings June 3rd, 2012, 02:07 PM Taylor, Solid, thank you guys! I'm a big fan of Rio Grande's pickups! SolidbdyJazzfan June 3rd, 2012, 02:15 PM Taylor, Solid, thank you guys! I'm a big fan of Rio Grande's pickups! Oops. My mistake--Rio Grande, not Lone Star. Sorry! I've always wanted to try Rio Grande's pickups. They just LOOK so cool. 6stings June 3rd, 2012, 02:37 PM Oops. My mistake--Rio Grande, not Lone Star. Sorry! I've always wanted to try Rio Grande's pickups. They just LOOK so cool. Please explain the coiled wire in the control cavity. And what is the "Fezz Parka" mod? I dig the red pots. Did you mask the soldering contact points before painting, or scrape paint off after? TNO June 4th, 2012, 09:27 PM Love the unique style. Really impressive. 6stings June 5th, 2012, 01:46 AM Thanks again guys! ?..Please explain the coiled wire in the control cavity. And what is the "Fezz Parka" mod? I dig the red pots. Did you mask the soldering contact points before painting, or scrape paint off after? The wires around the huge Soviet pio connect the tone to the vol, the yellow is ground. I found the Fezz Parka's mod (some say 50's mod) on tdpri. Use the search, please, there are many threads touching the theme. The pots were hand painted, 3 coats, the shaft, the contact legs and the back of the pots were not painted only the parts visible thru the plate. 6stings June 5th, 2012, 03:39 AM Here's this little mod they call the Fezz Parka's mod. Very simple, but it really makes tone control more 'live', and it gives more treble with lower volume. Here's the re-drawn FP mod and how it looks in my tele: 129907 129908 6stings June 5th, 2012, 03:43 AM It's a beautiful guitar but it way too Norwegian for me  You mean too Cool for you, ad? Understand. That's exactly what I mean! It reminds of modern "Scandanavian" furniture design, and yes, it is cool and I like it. cband7 June 11th, 2012, 07:58 PM Once again, thought this was a bachelor food post - really great looking guitar! . At first glance, I thought it was a tortoise overlay. What did the body weigh, if you don't mind me asking? 6stings July 5th, 2012, 11:17 PM Great guitar!
