Okay. You're must explain those tuners! And what were you thinking? String ferrules in a straight line!

Absolutely gorgeous, and quite original in its execution.

That took a few looks to see it all although I liked it immediately. I really like the see through pot plate too. Overall, I like the whole thing. Tasteful originality. Well done!!!

So so wrong but somehow looks awesome.

I really like it.

That's a really unique look. I like the simple natural satin feel of it and it's really cool to accent it with those little splashes of color.

I surely like the lacquered pots! I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Appreciate all you said guys!

As for the tuners, I find Steinberger Gearless a perfect solution for a lefty headstock. I have them on a standard tele neck too.

Just did a sound check thru Twin Reverb, I must say that I'm impressed by the simplicity and the effect of Fezz Parka's tone mod.
No more treble bleeds.

A few more shots, sorry if I repeated some.

Cheers!
Darko

It's the dance of the seven veils:razz: Come on, you're just teasing us now - you've got to show us a front shot of the headstock ...and explain what it is.

Very cool and purposeful build!

Thanks Modern!
I'm not teasing, I did post the pics of the headsock's both sides.
There's nothing special on it, no logo, I just painted it a little to balance with the rest of the tele. It looked too sterile as a very light maple with the black tuners...

Whoa, that headstock painting is fabulous looking. So many things going on visually with this guitar, but they all work together quite nice!

I like.

Please explain the coiled wire in the control cavity. And what is the "Fezz Parka" mod?

I dig the red pots. Did you mask the soldering contact points before painting, or scrape paint off after?

The wires around the huge Soviet pio connect the tone to the vol, the yellow is ground.

I found the Fezz Parka's mod (some say 50's mod) on tdpri. Use the search, please, there are many threads touching the theme.

The pots were hand painted, 3 coats, the shaft, the contact legs and the back of the pots were not painted only the parts visible thru the plate.

Here's this little mod they call the Fezz Parka's mod. Very simple, but it really makes tone control more 'live', and it gives more treble with lower volume.
Here's the re-drawn FP mod and how it looks in my tele:

Great guitar! I really liked your treatment of the headstock! At first glance, I thought it was a tortoise overlay. What did the body weigh, if you don't mind me asking?
