Hey guys
Finally got my Rutters strat, been waiting for this for a quite a long while. Getting it to SA was a bit of a hassle.
Flawless finish, absolutely gorgeous, and the back is almost prettier than the front. The neck is fat, really really nice. 9.5-14 radius, slight U on the treble side, and C on the bass side. Callaham trem which has also really impressed me, for once I can kind of get a cool sound from a trem.
She needs some work, specifically a string tree, 2 push pulls, cream pickup covers and there's a possibility of redoing the wiring entirely with a super switch. I'm not really sure about the pickguard, I either need new pickup screws with smaller heads, or to countersink the holes.
Tonally, I'm impressed as well. I'd been quite worried of getting a dud, as we know how tempermental strats can be, but Marc seems to know how tone works! It's very attacky, with a thumping, piano like bass, and pleasing treble. Using Mike Reilander pups, got them wound a while back as a prototype set, but it sounds so damn good that I think I might just stay with them!!!
