Strat 5 way switch issue..Help! [Archive]

About a year ago I swapped out the Japanese pups on my 86' strat with a Sigler loaded pick guard with SCN pups which sounded great until yesterday when i selected position 2 on the 5 way switch and it sounds thin and low volume, all other positions sound normal except position 4 is slightly lower volume than 1,3 & 5, so i guess all the pups are functioning normally. I'm guessing it's a phasing problem but i'm unsure what to do, any suggestions or diagnosis would be much appreciated!

May be something wrong with the switch. Phasing problems don't just happen, you would have had to get the leads reversed to do that, like when installing pups.
