My Question: Special Or Standard?

I have a Fender American Special Telecaster and I absolutely love it. I am really into Fender guitars and have been looking at Stratocasters. I've come to question myself which is more worth to get, special or standard (American). If anyone has specific reasons why or can convince me to get either that'd be highly appreciated. Thanks :razz:

P.S. I know the difference in the specs and what not and that the Standard comes with the case, but not sure of any other reasons to get either..

I had the same dilemma recently. I decided on the Am Std for a couple of reasons. First, I don't like the big headstock and second, the Standard just felt better to me. I've done some mods since then, but I am very happy. FWIW, the Specials are very nice.

Thanks man. I had played an a standard strat at guitar center and it felt pretty good compared to my friend's special strat. It's only approx 100 dollars more and it comes with that great case. I'm gonna go standard on the strat :)

The Standard also has medium jumbo frets as compared to the jumbo frets of the Special, IIRC. I prefer the Standard, personally.
