Maple Cap Project 66 Custom

Slowly getting off ground I got a 4lb Tele body cheap and wanted to do a maple cap neck tone rocket....Cheap body see planer snipe,wood fill and block sand all better...

+++Bad pic+++ but neck pocket actually .60" to long with wrong corner radii...What do you want from a $20 2nds body... Thank God I had the Terry Downes templates for comparision.

Spank= Notes and chords jumpin off the fingerboard and bridge plate...I'm diggin it with a couple quick coats off paint...

I thought it was some new kind of underwear for women...

After finding the correct neck placement,(it had to go about .030" towards the treble side),this thing is coming into focus...

"Spank" as in "Spankdplank"????

im almost ready to find a drill press large enough to drill the string through holes..

The neck pup route is getting recut as we speak....

Bloom Blat there it is ...routed for a strat pick up using my dremel tool and a 1/4 " bearing bit....That divit was there on the bass side of this budget body...

I finally got to use the big drill press...

Plays pretty good off the bat but neck pocket still needs attention...

While setting the guitar up the wood let go in neck pocket..Freakin weird..I've since fixed it and it's holding tight and intonates....

For now this is done but I'd like to bind the body at some point

I've since shimmed in between the end of neck and pocket .060" ..It's moved the intonation and pick guard up approx 1/16" all good things....
