"the goth dragon"Jahmbie May 31st, 2012, 09:59 PM I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about this: http://lexington.craigslist.org/msg/3041358597.html bigmuff113 May 31st, 2012, 10:02 PM I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about this: http://lexington.craigslist.org/msg/3041358597.html Luthier made and a bolt neck? On an acoustic? zombywoof June 1st, 2012, 09:36 AM I kinda like it. It makes me smile. hemingway June 1st, 2012, 09:38 AM I hate it - and I like Mr Horsepower. At least that has humour. Arbiter June 1st, 2012, 09:48 AM It's really true. You cannot buy taste. Jakedog June 1st, 2012, 10:20 AM Luthier made and a bolt neck? On an acoustic? Lots of high end acoustics are bolt-on necks. Different design, but same principal. Taylor guitars are bolt-on necks. If it's well designed an implemented, a bolt neck acoustic build is definitely viable. The guitar in question is a very thin body, so it may have a solid heel. It also has an electric style bridge so that may have a solid block under it as well, I would think it would have to to work... The guitar ain't my cup of tea, but I can't say it's not well built without playing it. Then again, there's an awful lot of guys out there today calling themselves luthiers, that are nothing of the sort. And yeah, that is one BUTT ugly headstock design. The rest of it ain't totally terrible at all though. popthree June 1st, 2012, 11:52 AM if that thing had a little less 'flair' it would be very cool popthree June 1st, 2012, 11:55 AM the most bizarre thing about it to me is that it appears that the headstock is also a bolt on.. isn't that a fender..strat/tele neck with the original headstock severed .. replaced with a bolt on batarang ? vicmichaud June 1st, 2012, 11:58 AM that is the ugliest guitar I've ever seen stephent2 June 1st, 2012, 12:42 PM Wow, besides everything else that just wrong,... look at the bridge placement, right up next to the soundhole (not on the middle of the body where it could work to move the top). Yikes. rangercaster June 1st, 2012, 09:58 PM Would be great to hang on the wall of a restaurant or business as a conversation piece. Translation : it is either unplayable or sounds awful ... |
