ESQUIREoholic May 31st, 2012, 07:09 PM This guitar is just cool. I love the ol' white with white guard and the switching is pretty trick. ....Those aged covers on the Bareknuckle PU's, mustang saddles, 4 way switch..... Thanks for the bushings on the bridge posts and the vibrato arm
Pretty cool.

I love to try it with 6105's and some heavier strings:mrgreen:
ESQUIREoholic May 31st, 2012, 07:18 PM I guess you could always put a Classic Players neck on it if you like the Medium Jumbo frets.

src9000 May 31st, 2012, 07:26 PM I agree. If I had the cash, I'd get one today. <sigh>
ESQUIREoholic May 31st, 2012, 09:47 PM I've got a pile of Teles but man this Jag looks cool.
Can't wait to try one out.
tele salivas May 31st, 2012, 09:51 PM Yeah, still waiting to see one in person. Lots of little things that make this a sweet prospect.
Turtleface May 31st, 2012, 10:40 PM Next two guitars will be a LP Jr, and a Jaguar. Just bought a new LP Traditional Gold-top, so I figure the next will be the Jag. Can't make up my mind between the 50th anniversary, or the Marr. Arrrrgggg, decisions!
musicmatty June 1st, 2012, 06:52 AM Original Beach Boy David Marks, and now lead guitarist since Carl Wilson passed away, is using a Fender Jag exclusively on their 50th anniversary reunion tour. Obviously, this was the guitar used on all the early BBoy tunes that he and Carl played on. The sound he gets is more than convincing for me that I just love this guitar  He use's no effects pedal he says..just a volume kick  Check out his leads on 'Do it Again' 'Surfin Safari' and Catch a Wave..Dance Dance Dance'... Great tone and playing in my opinion

bobsway June 1st, 2012, 06:27 PM BB's totally rule! So glad to see David Marks back, I read that he sorta got shafted out of the group by Murray Wilson way back when.
Jags totally rule as well!!!

I drooled over it for a month before I bought a new CAR Classic Player and had USACG make me a fat Jag neck. I also modded the top rhythm circuit to wide open 1 meg pot. The Johnny Marr Sig Jag is big time!
winny pooh June 2nd, 2012, 04:19 AM I generally find jags are real cool, but then I play one and the sound is a bit meh. The short scale works for some and suits a guy like Marr who has smaller hands.
