So since it's the summer I figured I need something to do. Got these at Goodwill for 3 bucks each.
Gonna make them into talkboxes and give one to thorton077.
To be honest I have no idea why I'm doing this i just feel like it.

If you are going to drive these speakers with more than a very low wattage amp, you'll blow 'em up quickly. The original talkboxes were constructed using compression horn drivers, driven right off the guitar amp's speaker output, through a footswitch that selects the amp's normal speaker or the talkbox driver. The screw-on type of drivers make it easy to connect the hose that leads up the mic stand into your mouth.
Something like this would work:

I got a cheap guitar amp at a yard sale that's built into a plastic gas can. I'm going to replace the speaker with a mid frequency driver and have the hose come out of the top of the gas can and use an A/B box to switch between my normal rig and the talk box.
For the record, the gas can amp was manufactured that way and has never been filled with flamable or hazardous materials.
