I recently rewired my Strat and everything was fine but... The tone knobs do nothing, I am pretty sure that I wired everything correctly anyways here are some pictures:

Hard to tell what's going on there, except for a ton of solder, and possibly cold/bad joints, but why do you have a white (hot) wire soldered to the pot case?

Oh I just extended a wire, and it was a bit short.

What model Strat is it?
Why did you rewire it?
A single photo of the whole thing would be useful.
A schematic would be even better.
Looking at the insulation on some of those wires, a lot of heat's been applied.
Have you done much soldering?
Got a multimeter?

Do you have a multimeter?

I'd just go over all of it on the continuity setting and make sure no hot wires are shorting to the shielding, and that the solder connections are all good. Also no accidental "bridges" created by sloppy solders or stray braids. I'd also get in the practice of using the right color wire, even for jumpers or extensions. Just makes it easier later on, especially if you want folks to try to help by looking at pics ;o)

So more than a month later I finally had time to figure out what was wrong, it turns out that it was just a soldering problem.
