Hi I need a new neck for my squier vm pbass, so I want to get a mighty mite jazz neck for easier playing. I was looking at the specs of the rosewood one and it says that the heel is 2-1/2" witch that's the same size as my bass neck pocket! Great right? But then I started reading about how that is not the size of the heel and its just a miss print? Some people say that the neck fit prefect and others say that it didn't fit their basses. So I'm confused do any of you have a mighty mite bass neck that can tell me what and if it fit your bass?

Damn no one has ever bought a new neck before?

I built a PBass using a Mighty Mite neck, mine has a maple fingerboard.
It went on a MIM body, and it worked out great. no issues whatsoever with heel dimensions.
I put Hipshot tuners and a "vintage" 70's DiMarzio Model P pickup. It's a great bass, a loud crunchy rock and roll machine
and it was under $100 with shipping.

Can you tell me what the measurements are of the heel?

Just an FYI Mighty Mite necks (along with WD, and AllParts, and a few others) are "Fender Licensed". That means the specs are identical to Fenders and have Fender's blessing to create them. Quality will vary between company but Mighty Mite necks are supposed to be direct replacements for Fender instruments.
The difference between your Pbass neck and a Mighty Mite Jazz bass neck is the nut width. The heel should be the same on both. The jazz bass nut is skinnier so the "round" of the back of the neck is also skinnier width-wise (not necessarily thickness) which might explain the idea you have that it's easier to play.
I've put Mighty Mite necks on bodies, then pulled them off for a MIM Fender neck. I've swapped them back and forth with only slight modifications to intonation and string height.
