My newest build

Starting this one for my cousin....composite body...MDF caps with pine core. All red oak two piece neck...with....Snakehead!!!! It'll be a slow build...all of you will likely will have forgotten about it by the time I post final pics...LOL.

I'd never forget a snakehead build :lol: (and neither will you :wink:). Finally fell victim to the siren song of MDF? It is hard not to build something from it. BTW, I don't know if your local Lowes has it, but mine is selling laminated aspen boards for shelving up to 18" wide and 4' long. Cut in half and laminated together, it makes a killer light body blank. Now it doesn't have a grain to speak of, so it needs painting but they are light and tough. I have a musicmaster in the works down the line that will be made from it, stay tuned :wink:

Thanks Dave. I'll check my local Lowes out. Here in Mobile, Lowes usually carries nicer cuts of red oak than Home Depot.

I just may build most of my Tele style builds with a snake head now...it's certainly different than anything you see out there. With the MDF, I'm just trying different experiments to see what sticks. These first few builds are going to family and friends...they can't complain about a free guitar with a few flaws...LOL.
