I used to get a lot of those emails too. You have to learn how to use your SPAM filter.

Many moons ago I bought a "Fathead" for my Tele to increase mass and sustain at the headstock. It was a thick brass plate that mounted under the tuners and subsequently pressed into the back of the headstock. I guess it worked marginally, but it dropped the tuner string posts down into the headstock and made things hard and stiff to tune. It stayed on for a few days. and I took it off. I might still have it. It is brass and "vintage" and should be worth at least $100.00. ;^)

I would put the item on the backside of the headstock, not the front.

But. My thoughts are the neck needs to be No-Caster fat, and if they're this fat, even with a lightweight tuning head like a Gotoh split, you can't bear to have any additional weight that far away from the guitar's CG (center of gravity). Otherwise the guitar won't balance unless the body is very heavy.

So, nevermind is the right answer, yes. :^)
